Genre: Erotic Romance/Adult/Fiction
Twenty-six-year-old Nic Maretta is having a bad year. She just found out that the man she was in love with and planned to marry is just that, married. So she does what any normal woman would do. She gets drunk, brushes herself off and swears off love forever. She is thankful to have a best friend that not only loves her, but accepts the new ‘Nic’. This new Nic has decided to live life on her own terms, mocking convention; as well as her own situations. It’s goodbye heartache and hello sexual freedom. After all, what’s good for the goose, is good for the woman who likes sex! Or something along those lines. Until she accidentally bumps into Brendon… He is immediately taken in by her beauty and tenacity. She is instantly turned on by his good looks and sex appeal. One crazy night, one too many champagnes and way too many phone contacts, Nic throws caution to the wind and calls Brendon. To her surprise he comes running. Game on!
C.E. Hansen is an American writer who wrote her first romance novel at age fourteen when she discovered writing about boys and girls was way easier than actually having a relationship of her own. Since that time, her communication skills haven't improved, but she likes to think her writing has. After earning an associate’s degree in literature from WC, she worked in a bus company, a law office and a wine/gourmet food shoppe, but she never abandoned writing. She's a proud mother of a beautiful daughter, lives in New Jersey with her husband and Maltese Zoe, and if she's not working on her latest sexy story, you can find her reading, watching cable television, or indulging in her unhealthy addiction to chocolate.C.E. Hansen's debut novel IT'S A CRIME was released May 2013, her follow up novel IT'S A SHAME, was released November 11th, 2013.Her latest, ACT ACCORDINGLY, takes a turn from her normal. Instead of a thriller/suspense, it is a romantic comedy with a healthy injection of spice!
Let’s get to
know you a little more. Tell us a about yourself.
What inspired you to write?
What inspired you to write?
It wasn’t an
inspiration, so to speak. It was more of
a so-called ‘calling’. Writing is a part of my DNA. I ‘need’ to write. Not only
is it what I’ve always wanted to do since I was a wee girl, but it is also who
I am. I am WRITER. I know it sounds crazy, but just as you are reader, I am
writer.
Tell me a little about your book. (Title, plot)
Tell me a little about your book. (Title, plot)
It is my
first attempt at a comedy and that alone makes it more difficult for me. I typically
write dramatic suspense/thriller novels with strong female characters. But this
one…this one, I wanted to be different. I wanted her to have the swagger of a
man (swinging dick and all), and put up with just about nothing.
How did you come up with the story?
How did you come up with the story?
I love Emma
Chase. I read Tangled and loved Drew as most women do, but I wanted a female
Drew. Someone with a stubborn side and a sad side who would not take an once of
bullshit.
Tell me about your main character. Who is he/she, what makes them special to you?
Tell me about your main character. Who is he/she, what makes them special to you?
Nic. I loved
writing Nic. She reminds me of me, many years ago. She’s got a bit of attitude…and talks just
like me.
Who has been your greatest writing inspiration?
Who has been your greatest writing inspiration?
Kathleen
Woodiwiss. I first fell in love with her romantic novels when I was a girl. I
would sneak my cousin’s books out of her bedroom and would as her to take them
out of the public library. Thought the
world was on fire and I wanted to burn right along with it all.
Now a little more about you:
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you bring (excluding family, laptop, or writing utensils)?

A lifetime
supply of alcohol, tweezers and a hot guy—who was expertly schooled in the art
of giving a woman an orgasm.
We find out the world is going to end tomorrow. How do you live your last day?

Do I need to
reiterate. The same as above! LOL
If we were to make a movie of your life. Who would play the part of you?
If we were to make a movie of your life. Who would play the part of you?
Susan
Sarandon; my sister, in looks and attitude.
Tell us 5 random things about yourself.
Tell us 5 random things about yourself.
I curse like
a sailor. No, make that a truck driver
I love
dessert, although it told me it only likes my ass.
I love my
dog.
I am a Victoria’s
Secret addict.
I have a very
dark side. Serial murderers, and me, are on the same wavelength. They provide
the stories, I write till dawn.
What are the three places you have always wanted to visit but have not yet?
Spain, Italy
(again), and the bayou….it calls to me.
Okay, crystal ball time. Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?

Interviewing
you… and screenwriting.
Do you have any questions for me?
Do you have any questions for me?
‘Tell me 5
random things about yourself.'
1. I lived on Long Island most of my life, but lived in the New Paltz/Poughkeepsie area for 5 years
2. I am a big movie and TV junkie. My DVR is constantly filled once the fall and spring episodes of TV shows launch.
3. I love music and tried to play in a rock band in Middle School, but found out I am not musically inclined except for singing.
4. Even though I love writing my Phoenix Blade series and mysteries, I am planning on switching genres within the next year or two to take a stab at some new ideas.
5. The end of summer into fall is my favorite time of year because I get to go apple picking with my fiancé and friends. I also get the new fall lineup for TV shows and is the start of football season.
