Excerpt
I can’t breath. He’s literally stealing the breath from me as his fingers tighten around my throat, his body pinning me down. His hand squeezes harder. My heart accelerates to a dangerous level, feeling as if it will burst from my chest, but I refuse to give up. I can’t. It would mean he wins. With all the strength I have left, I keep trying to push his body off. My hands claw at his face and somehow I manage to gouge his eyes with my fingernails. With a wail, he rises off my body and loosens his grip around my neck.

With all my might, I swing my arm up and my fist makes contact with his face; it shocks him momentarily, allowing me to push him off enough to wiggle my way from under him. I’m still breathless, barely able to move, but my only thought is escape.

“Get back here, you bitch!” he shouts as he grabs onto my ankle, my body pulled to a stop. Turning around, I kick him with my other foot and manage to break free once more.
I don’t have the strength yet to stand up, but I manage to frantically crawl from his grasp to keep him from pulling me down again. My fear and determination is what keeps me moving. Sucking in a deep breath of air, I force myself up to my feet and start to run.

I’m running for my life at this point. My feet are moving on instinct, doing what they know best as they attempt to put distance between us. I can hear him chasing me; his panting breaths mere steps behind me, but I keep running, never looking back.

“You think you can get away from me, Abigail?”
His words fuel my fear, causing my legs to pump harder and my body to move faster, the air swooshing by me, the world passing in a blur. I know he’s no longer behind me, but I can still hear his panicked shouts.

“You belong to me! I’ll find you and you’ll regret ever leaving me!”

MeetTheAuthor

There isn’t anything exciting about me, besides having a uniquely spelled name….

Yes, it’s spelled Gabbie.

I’m a mom first, a wife second, and then a crazy girl who won’t hesitate to take on a challenge. That’s how I found my passion for writing. My daughter challenged me to write a book, and I did.

I was born and raised in Southern California. I live with my wonderful husband, two amazing kids and a senior citizen kitty named Tigger. When I’m not writing you can find me reading or sneaking off for a run. Some might say it’s a crazy life, but I wouldn’t change anything about it.

HE SAID ALL THE RIGHT THINGS

Troianne Shelden is a high school student with a bright future.  She’s smart, shapely and a catch for any guy.  But after a night of passion with a handsome stranger, everything changes.  Her future is in doubt when she finds herself pregnant.

THEN LEFT HER ALONE

When her grandmother passes away, and with her parents long dead, Troianne suddenly finds herself with a large inheritance, but absolutely no one she can trust to turn to for help.

Fate takes a hand when she goes into labor.  Blinded by pain, she passes out in the back of an ambulance – and wakes up somewhere very different.

She opens her eyes to find herself not in a modern ambulance, but in the back of a horse-drawn carriage. When the door opens she’s greeted by a handsome man dressed like he stepped out of the past.  In shock, Troianne realizes that she’s somehow traveled back in time.

And she has no idea how to return home…

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing? Editing, I really hate it!

Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work? Hemingway, his brilliance, his humor and his drunken fabulous ramblings.

Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)? Not yet! Hopefully soon I love to travel and talk about myself. :)

Who designed the covers? Shoutlines, Rachel Mizer. She did a fantastic job don’t you think?

What was the hardest part of writing your books? Actually sitting down and doing it. I can think faster than I can type. I wish there was a machine that could read my thoughts. LOL

Did you learn anything from writing your books? Yes, people don’t use semicolons anymore!!!!

Do you have any advice for other writers? Stick with it and do not give up no matter what. Marketing yourself and marketing your book will get you sales. Don’t be afraid to ask, open doors and hand out business cards and bookmarks. Leave them on tables, counters, etc.

starting out slow and picking up speed. This thriller draws you along with good dialog and credible characters. A political conspiracy. Who's the good guys and who's the bad? The story keeps you wondering until the end.

Andrew has a fan! I love political stories but his additions are phenomenal! Who, what, when, where and why are 5 questions that keep you wanting more.

The writing style is unique and the character development makes Andrew one of my favorite authors out to date!

Act Accordingly Review

ACT ACCORDINGLY
By C.E. Hansen Release Date: July 16, 2014 Paperback, 472 pages
Genre: Erotic Romance/Adult/Fiction
Twenty-six-year-old Nic Maretta is having a bad year. She just found out that the man she was in love with and planned to marry is just that, married. So she does what any normal woman would do. She gets drunk, brushes herself off and swears off love forever. She is thankful to have a best friend that not only loves her, but accepts the new ‘Nic’. This new Nic has decided to live life on her own terms, mocking convention; as well as her own situations. It’s goodbye heartache and hello sexual freedom. After all, what’s good for the goose, is good for the woman who likes sex! Or something along those lines. Until she accidentally bumps into Brendon… He is immediately taken in by her beauty and tenacity. She is instantly turned on by his good looks and sex appeal. One crazy night, one too many champagnes and way too many phone contacts, Nic throws caution to the wind and calls Brendon. To her surprise he comes running. Game on!

C.E. Hansen is an American writer who wrote her first romance novel at age fourteen when she discovered writing about boys and girls was way easier than actually having a relationship of her own. Since that time, her communication skills haven't improved, but she likes to think her writing has. After earning an associate’s degree in literature from WC, she worked in a bus company, a law office and a wine/gourmet food shoppe, but she never abandoned writing.
She's a proud mother of a beautiful daughter, lives in New Jersey with her husband and Maltese Zoe, and if she's not working on her latest sexy story, you can find her reading, watching cable television, or indulging in her unhealthy addiction to chocolate.
C.E. Hansen's debut novel IT'S A CRIME was released May 2013, her follow up novel IT'S A SHAME, was released November 11th, 2013.
Her latest, ACT ACCORDINGLY, takes a turn from her normal. Instead of a thriller/suspense, it is a romantic comedy with a healthy injection of spice!
Review:
Rated 4 out of 5 Stars

Although the story started out slow and seemingly drawn out, but quickly drew me in as Nic started telling the story directly to the reader as if they were a part of it or if she was with a group of girlfriends telling them about a bad break-up and how a new man, Brendon, has captured her attention. Act Accordingly is funny and sexy which is a great combination for book lovers.
