Excerpt

The bones were wet and cold. The clay in the soil trapped the moisture as efficiently as a layer of mulch in a flower bed. When Edgar held the femur up to the moonlight, he was thrilled to observe how fully the dirt and mold had settled into the cuts. It created an inky labyrinthine abstract on the once-white surface. He caressed the soil around the bones, and then lifted the rest of them from their shallow bed.
“Welcome back,” he whispered.
It took hours to finish his work, but he didn’t think of his other girl even once. Well, not more than once, maybe twice at the most. The main thing was, he finally felt free. He no longer felt trapped. As soon as he’d begun to free the bones, he’d begun to free himself, too. His mood lightened. His outlook improved. The world looked brighter, even beneath the moon.
Guess I had buried myself along with my girls.
He felt so light by the time he finished; it was as if his feet no longer touched the ground. Starting back down the trail, he realized he didn’t want to leave.
An idea entered his brain like an arrow.
I have my hiking gear in the car, my sleeping bag, water, an energy bar, maybe even a package of trail mix.
He grew so excited, the flesh of his scalp tingled.
I’m doing it. I’m going to spend the night with my girl.
My best girl.

Cover Reveal: See Me for Me By Teya Pack

Her most recent accomplishment started in the summer of 2015, see previous page. Making her dad’s dream come true with publishing his works as well, as an emotional accomplishment. She is the 2016 local A.N.W.A. chapter (Snake River Writers) president, won NaNoWriMo and loves StoryMakers.
Teya has been writing for as long as she can remember. At a young age she lived on a street she affectionately named Hill Street Blues, which helped her creative writing. Her Family moved to Menan where she continued her love of writing. Her father would always be and will continue to be her inspiration, even after his untimely death in 2006.
She loves sitting in her soft chair next to the fireplace and watching out a big living room window. It gives her plenty of creative juice for stories.
She met the love of her life in the loft of a barn. Yep, that set up some teasing from her father. They have been happily married since 2003. They have four children and all are loving and supportive of her writing.  Her oldest daughter is following in her footsteps as a writer adding her own illustrations. She refuses to comment on the trolls in the closets and under the beds. She is active in her church, has compassion for others, and a love for all life brings.

Book Tour: Window of Time By DJ Erfert

The difference between a curse and a gift is only a matter of perspective.

"Debra lives in Southwest Arizona, and has been married to Mike for 36 years. She's the mother of two awesome sons, who married their forever loves, and she's a grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren with one more on the way.

Debra wrote her first novella thirteen years ago just for grins. That brief taste into the world of an author started an undeniable writing obsession rivaling only her love of chocolate. She's an award-winning fine artist, and loves traveling with her husband."

CIA courier Lucy James never gets used to seeing innocent people killed, but she copes with it—every day. Cursed with the ability to glimpse into the future when a death is about to happen, she has a short window of time to interfere—risking her life in order to change it. No one knows about her curse, until she saves a handsome Los Angeles firefighter trapped between her and foreign operatives hell-bent on intercepting her current assignment.
LA firefighter Johnny Cartwright’s life changes the moment he meets Lucy. His uncomplicated days flip to dangerously unpredictable after he’s drawn deeper into her secretive world of premonitions. His attraction to Lucy grows as he helps her stop a terroristic plot against the U.S., putting his life between her and certain death.

Snippet

Sixty-seven seconds passed by before she regained consciousness. Lucy knew exactly how long her fainting spells lasted; she’d timed them on several occasions, out of necessity more than curiosity. She also knew how desperately vulnerable she was during those precious seconds. For the past two years she’d been on her own.
She held her breath as every nerve in her body screamed danger. Lucy heard men speaking in a language she recognized but couldn’t understand. They stood only a few feet away from her. The voices moved momentarily closer, their arguing growing more heated. She stayed completely still. Perhaps a minute passed before the sound of their heavy footfalls retreated away from her.
